Where It Started

It began on the blacktop, not in a boardroom.

Scott “Bubba” Sinnott ran his family’s paving business in Duluth, Minnesota—laborer to operator to leader. When he and his brother took the wheel after their father passed, there was zero room for mistakes. Bubba built a hard-nosed system to see costs in real time and protect margin at bid time.

The Pivot

Years later, business strategist Tom Peterson asked Bubba to sit in on a planning session for an owner drowning in numbers. In under an hour, confusion turned into clarity—exactly where cash was leaking and how to fix it.

The takeaway was simple: this wasn’t a spreadsheet; it was the missing operating system for pricing discipline. Tom launched Total Profit Management to take Performance Margin to the companies that need it.
